What is kept there

Generated automatically — every invoice and statement issued to you, and the settlement document produced when your lease ends.

Shared by your managing agent — your signed lease, the ingoing inspection, and any notices that concern your tenancy.

Opening and keeping a copy

Open a document to read it, or download it to keep. There is no limit on how often you can retrieve one, so you do not need to ask for a resend.

Keep your own copy of the ingoing inspection, with its photographs. It is the single document that settles most deposit disputes at the end of a lease — it is the agreed record of what the property looked like when you moved in.

Why a document never changes

An invoice or statement is a record of what was issued on the day it was issued. If a figure is corrected afterwards, the correction appears as its own entry on your account and the original document stays exactly as you received it.

That protects you as much as anyone: the copy you downloaded in March still matches your managing agent’s copy in September.

What you can and cannot see

You see documents relating to your own lease — nothing belonging to another tenant, and nothing about the property owner or what they are charged.

If a document you expect is not there, it may not have been shared yet. Contact your managing agent and ask for it.
