Update your details

Change your contact information, what applies at once, and what needs your agent to approve it.

Start: your portal, My profile Result: your details are updated, or sent to your managing agent for approval.

Steps

  1. Go to My profile.
  2. Edit the detail you want to change.
  3. Save.

What applies immediately, and what does not

Most contact details — your mobile number, an alternative number, your postal address — apply straight away.

Your name, email address and banking details do not. Those go to your managing agent for approval first, and your record keeps its current values until they approve.

That is deliberate. Those three fields are the ones targeted when someone tries to redirect money or intercept correspondence, so a change that applied silently would be a real risk to you.

Expect your agent to confirm a banking change by phone. That is correct practice, not suspicion of you.

Why keeping this current matters

Your invoices, statements and any notice about your lease are sent to the email address and mobile number on your record. An out-of-date address means you stop receiving them — and a notice you never saw is still a notice that was served.

It also matters at the end of a tenancy: your deposit refund goes to the banking details held for you, and sorting that out after you have moved is slower than updating it before.

If you cannot edit a field

Some managing agents turn self-editing off entirely. If the fields are not editable, send your agent a request instead and they will make the change for you.
