Edit someone's details
Change an owner's, tenant's or guarantor's contact, identity or banking information.
Start: the person’s record Result: updated details, with the previous version kept.
Steps
- Open the person’s record.
- Edit the field and save.
Changes you make as a manager apply immediately - there is no approval step for your own edits.
What is kept
Contact details, addresses and banking details are versioned. Editing one supersedes the current record and keeps the old one, so you can see what a person’s details were at any past date.
That matters when a payment went to an old account, or when someone disputes where a notice was sent.
Changes made by the owner or tenant themselves in their portal behave differently - name, email and banking changes come to you for approval. See handle a change request.
