Add a tenant
Record the person or company who will rent a unit, ready to be put on a lease.
Start: Properties›Tenants Result: a tenant who can be put on a lease.
Steps
- Go to Properties›Tenants and choose Add Tenant.
- Enter their name and contact details.
- Where the tenant is a company renting for an employee, record the registered name, registration number and signatory alongside the contact details.
- Save.
Next
- Put them on a lease - see create a draft lease.
- Give them portal access - see invite a user to their portal.
A tenant is not a lease. The same person can hold one lease, end it, and take another unit later - their record carries across. See tenants.
Entity details on a tenant are a record, not a billing identity. Invoices still address the person named on the account, not the registered company name.
