Handle a change request from a portal user

Approve or reject a detail change an owner or tenant submitted themselves.

Start: the dashboard’s needs-attention area Result: the change is applied or rejected.

When an owner or tenant edits their name, email or banking details in their portal, the change does not apply immediately. It comes to you.

Steps

  1. Open the pending request from the dashboard.
  2. Check what is being changed, and from what to what.
  3. Approve it - the live record updates and the previous version is kept - or reject it.

Why this exists

Those three fields are the ones fraud targets. A banking detail that changes silently is how an owner’s payout ends up in someone else’s account.

Treat a banking change as a phone call, not a click. Confirm it with the person on a number you already have - not one supplied in the request itself.

You can turn self-editing off entirely, in which case people send you a free-text request instead of a structured change.
